Samsung ‘Galaxy Ring 2’ likely launching ‘early’ 2027 with battery, hardware upgrades

According to a new report, it’s “virtually impossible” for Samsung to release a Galaxy Ring sequel this year, with “Galaxy Ring 2” instead likely to launch in early 2027.

ETNews reports that Samsung is aiming for “early” next year to launch Galaxy Ring 2, a sequel to its first health tracking ring. The Galaxy Ring launched in 2024 for $399. In late 2025, it was reported that Samsung wasn’t imminently releasing a new model.

Apparently, this next-generation release would focus on longer battery life and improved comfort while wearing the device. The latter would come from reduced thickness and weight by “optimizing” component placement.

Battery life, meanwhile, would go up from the existing 7 days to around 9-10 days.

Elsewhere, Samsung reportedly wants to improve the health sensors further, specifically focusing on “improved accuracy of sleep analysis and expanded insights related to cardiovascular health,” as well as a stretch goal of non-invasive blood glucose management. That’s something Samsung has also been trying to build on Galaxy Watch.
