The new iPhones will feature the Apple A13 chip, internally known by its platform codename <strong>Cebu<\/strong>, model T8030.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-601851\"><\/span> <!-- author ad --><ins class=\"adsbygoogle author_ad\" data-ad-slot=\"8220589191\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9613784971181257\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\"><ins id=\"aswift_0_expand\"><ins id=\"aswift_0_anchor\"><\/ins><\/ins><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>According to people who\u2019ve seen the devices, all three <a href=\"http:\/\/9to5mac.com\/guides\/iphone-11\">iPhone 11<\/a> models will still feature a <strong>Lightning port<\/strong>, contrary to some speculation that they would be moving to USB-C after the change on iPad Pro last year.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018iPhone 11\u2019 models are known as <strong>D42<\/strong> (iPhone12,3) which will replace the iPhone XS; <strong>D43<\/strong> (iPhone12,5) which will replace the iPhone XS Max; and <strong>N104<\/strong> (iPhone12,1) which will replace the iPhone XR. D42 and D43 will have a 3x OLED Retina display, while N104 will still feature the 2x Liquid Retina display just like the current generation. The changes introduced with iOS 13 and the hardware improvements made to this year\u2019s devices should allow for the removal of 3D Touch without causing too much disruption to users who are accustomed to it.<\/p>\n<h3>Camera tech<\/h3>\n<p>The devices replacing the iPhone XS models will feature three cameras on the back contained within a square. Our sources share that it looks very similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2019\/07\/17\/iphone-11-max-11r-dummy-models-video\/\">many mockups that have been circling around<\/a>. This extra space will be occupied by a camera capable of capturing a <strong>wide-angle image<\/strong> as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2019-05-10\/apple-partner-tsmc-starts-building-chips-for-next-gen-iphones\"><em>Bloomberg<\/em><\/a> first reported.<\/p>\n<p>Besides being used as a creative option for pictures and movies, this wide-angle \u2018iPhone 11\u2019 camera will enable a feature called <strong>Smart Frame<\/strong>, which captures the area around the framed area in pictures and videos so that the user can adjust the framing or perform automatic perspective and crop corrections in post.
