Palantir Technologies (PLTR<\/a><\/span>) announced on Monday that it is working with Surf Air Mobility (SRFM<\/a>) to accelerate the commercial expansion of its OperatorOS, OwnerOS, and SurfOS Enterprise solutions.<\/p>\n

Separately, Palantir announced a deal with Nvidia (NVDA<\/a><\/span>) to run Nvidia\u00a0AI and Nemotron open AI models in sovereign environments, with a focus on U.S. government agencies and U.S. critical infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Palantir shares rose 2.2% in premarket trading.<\/p>\n

SurfOS is powered by Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform and Foundry and is designed to bring modern software to the private aviation and air mobility industries, the companies said in a\u00a0statement<\/a>. It will provide \u201caircraft operators, brokers, owners, and manufacturers with the tools needed to manage operations, drive efficiencies, and reduce costs,\u201d the companies added.<\/p>\n

There will also be a commercial expansion of OperatorOS, OwnerOS, and SurfOS, as there will be dedicated resources for the solutions focused on go-to-market support.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrivate aviation and air mobility are large, growing markets that have historically relied on fragmented systems and manual processes,\u201d Ted Mabrey, Global Head of Commercial at Palantir, said. \u201cWith Foundry and AIP powering SurfOS, we see a clear opportunity to build and define the central operating system for the future of aviation and air mobility, and our expanded commitment reflects our conviction in Surf Air Mobility and the opportunity ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nemotron deal<\/h2>\n

The Nvidia deal brings the chip giant’s Nemotron open models and Palantir’s critical infrastructure products, such as AIP, Ontology, Foundry, and Apollo, together.<\/p>\n

The collaboration allows customers to complete tasks such as \u201cexplicit data authorization, secure perimeter enforcement, architecturally-enforced customer-specific isolation, data portability, right to erasure, and full auditability,\u201d the companies said in a\u00a0statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cCombining Palantir infrastructure with NVIDIA\u2019s AI and Nemotron models will allow the U.S. government to unleash the full power of LLMs while removing the underlying security risks and rational concerns around proprietary insights migrating into the weights of closed models,\u201d Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp explained. \u201cMoreover, many of our US clients are already using these models, including multiple supporting critical US infrastructure \u2014 both private and public \u2014 and this will facilitate their radical expansion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOpen source AI is foundational to national security, public safety and U.S. technology leadership,\u201d said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. \u201cPalantir\u2019s Nemotron-powered intelligent engine shows how open models can strengthen America\u2019s leadership in AI \u2014 giving U.S. government agencies a secure, customizable and fully controlled foundation to build mission-critical AI systems in support of national security.\u201d<\/p>\n
